Ravaged by an enemy virus, the many human words are devastated by the loss of their men and unable to produce any male children. Women have stepped up to the challenge of course, and one in particular, Dr. Amber Waithe, has worked to reestablish a group of human males who are resistant to the virus and who produce mostly male children. These genetically engineered supermen are called the Sons of Amber. Their mission: to repopulate the human worlds. Of course, nobody expects them to fall in love. Ezekiel is one such man, designed to be a Risk Taker by nature, he crash lands on an uncharted world after being chased and downed by the enemy. Setting out across the inhospitable desert of the barren planet, he is rescued by an angel who takes him underground and nurses him back to health. Zeke realizes the small community of humans secreted on this dustball of a world are the only known uninfected colony of humans in the galaxy and he must protect them. Likewise, he must protect Angela - his angel - the one woman he wants like no other in the universe. He wants to claim her with a deep biological and emotional need, binding her to him for the rest of their lives. But there are still enemies out there. Zeke must find a way to protect his mate and her people. Humanity is rallying against the enemy and he knows this small group of uninfected people will be the key - along with the Sons - to rebuilding the human race. Main Characters:
