The Arcana series is set in the Jit'Suku universe, at a time well before the events in the Sons of Amber series of stories. When I originally conceived this world, I wanted to create a generational saga that would span several centuries of on-again off-again war between the humans and jit'suku. My best laid plans went a little off track due to some behind-the-scenes publisher hijinks, but I think they're going in the right direction now.

The first Arcana story, King of Swords, was previously released in an anthology and is now available as a stand-alone ebook. Likewise, the second story in the series, King of Cups, which had never been available prior to its release by Liefde Press, is now available.

At the end of June 2012, we plan to release the next brand new stories: King of Clubs. King of Stars, which is the fourth and final story in this grouping will be out later in the year. Stay tuned for more news on dates as the plans firm up. Once all four Kings are released in ebook formats, we plan to put them together in a single print volume for those of you who still enjoy holding a printed book in your hands.

After the series of four Arcana tales is complete, we plan to visit different points in the timeline and add more Sons of Amber tales. There is also a short story set in this universe called End of the Line that will appear in The Mammoth Book of Futuristic Romance in late 2012. There are also two full-length novels set in this universe in the works. We hope to release all the planned works within the next couple of years, so again, please stay tuned for more information, as it becomes available.
