Great News! 2008 EPPIE Finalist!

I’m thrilled announce that Hara’s Legacy is a Finalist in the 2008 EPPIE Awards in the category of Best Erotic Romance Science Fiction/Futuristic. I got an email this morning with the news and I assume the official announcement will be up on the EPIC website sometime soon. In the meantime, I’d like to congratulate all the entrants and finalists. Well done! And thanks to the judges who voted for Hara’s Legacy to this point. I’m truly honored.

I’m a Top 5 Sensual Author!

I found out yesterday, quite by accident, that I’d been voted one of the Top Five Sensual Authors on Ecataromance Sensual. Wow! I was floored by the amazing company on that list. I’m a fan of most of those other authors, so to be included with the likes of Delilah Devlin and Jaci Burton was a big thrill for me! Thanks Ecata! And special thanks to the readers who voted for me!!!

I got a LOT done yesterday. I finished the first round of edits on Wings of Change late in the day, but during my “procrastination breaks” I managed to update my website, finish and deliver my August Newsletter, post a new contest for August, set up and begin to promo my next party date - August 21st for those of you playing at home - start a new spreadsheet to track my royalties (because I made a MESS of the old one!), listen to the live streaming video from NASA all day long on my computer, watch the shuttle blast off, and start to hack down the email stack waiting for me as I await the next round of edits later this week.

So it’ll be a short break until edit hell starts up again, but I’m looking forward to it. I worked really hard on the first round so the second should be quite a bit easier. Normally there’s not much to editing my work but with a brand new editor, I wanted to be sure I was extra thorough. Putting my best foot forward and all that.
