The Seventh Series… Resonance Mates

December 31, 2011 on 6:00 am | In Resonance Mates | 9 Comments

It’s New Years Eve, so I thought I’d focus on a series that I will be ending shortly, Resonance Mates.

There are four books now available in the series, both in print and ebook formats:

1. HARA’S LEGACY

2. DAVIN’S QUEST

3. JACI’S EXPERIMENT

4. GRADY’S AWAKENING

The fifth and final book in the series will be HARRY’S SACRIFICE. I’ve been writing it for a while and it’s about half finished. I hope to finish it up sometime in early 2012 and get it in the pipeline for publication.

This series is a very erotic futuristic menage with humanoid aliens I based on Tolkein style elves. Tall, blond, gorgeous and very, very cold. Unemotional until they start interacting with humans. I call them Alvians and explain that they’ve been to Earth before and inspired our myths about elves. The mix of human and Alvian DNA is explosive – producing people who are blessed with extraordinary psychic gifts of all kinds. Telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance… All that and more.

At first, the humans who have traces of Alvian DNA have no idea that’s what gave them and their ancestors such remarkable gifts. All they want to do is survive in the new world the aliens have created by their attack on the Earth. Tsunamis, earthquakes and global upheval on a massive scale have reshaped the planet, making it barely survivable for those few humans left on the surface.

Women are scarce. Men are savage. And then the hunting begins. The Alvians are hunting humans to imprison and study. Over the course of the next few books, the Alvians begin experimenting with deliberately mixing human and Alvian DNA. They even begin tinkering with their race’s DNA in order to restore some of what was lost.

DAVIN’S QUEST shows a different kind of alien – one who’s not as cold and unfeeling as the rest of his race. He’s a throwback to what Alvians were like before they started selectively breeding out the stronger emotions from their race.

JACI’S EXPERIMENT chronicles an alien lab tech’s journey from unemotional scientist to a woman in love with two men. Two human men. A lab error turns her into something new and scary. The only place she can find solace is in the arms of her two Resonance Mates.

GRADY’S AWAKENING follows one of the biggest, baddest alien soldiers as he voluntarily submits to genetic treatment designed to restore emotion to him. He’s never felt much before and his guide on the journey of self-discovery is an unlikely human girl and a sometimes-hostile human soldier.

Harry’s book will take us to even stranger places in this new world. It will also introduce some amazing new characters that may show up in the spin-off series I’m starting to think about.

The Resonance Mates was planned as a 5-book story arc from the beginning and I WILL end it with Harry’s book, but there are a few characters that have shown up during the series that I would like to write stories for. I’m envisioning a trilogy that explores a few of the relationships that I’ve hinted at in previous books. The first book will probably be devoted to Bill, Ruth and Sam. I might also write a story for Ronin Prime. And the third might be devoted to a very special character that you’ll meet in Harry’s book.

That’s how it stands for now. It might change in the future, as I start writing them, but for right now, that sounds about right to me. ;)

The Sixth Series…Gemini Project

December 30, 2011 on 6:00 am | In Military Men | 1 Comment

The Sixth Series we’re looking at is the Gemini Project. It’s a military, slightly paranormal – though not in the traditional way – erotic menage romance based on the idea that teams of special forces soldiers take part in telepathic experiments that allow them to speak mind to mind. They pair off at work and in life, each pair looking for one special woman they can both love.

There’s only one novella in this series at the moment, called TAG TEAM. I have plans for a few more stories in this series and hope to get at least one more out sometime in 2012.

Now here’s  a little “Inside Baseball” info for ya: In the past, I’ve tried a few different publishers to see how they operate, how books sell from various outlets, and in an effort to not put all my eggs (so to speak) in one basket. TAG TEAM was an experiment with a new (to me) publisher that’s done pretty well. I like the way this publisher operates and always intended to give them more stories in this series, but as I may have mentioned before, real life sort of got in the way there for a while.

Now that I’m finally getting a grip on the debilitating grief of my mother’s passing, I’m making plans to get back on track with all these little projects I’d intended to do.

TAG TEAM was a fun adventure into a contemporary erotic world where all kinds of things are possible. I liked the interaction between the characters and I’ve always been a sucker for the “girl next door” kind of story, where the hero suddenly realizes he’s been in love with her all along. ;)

You can get TAG TEAM from TEB, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other fine ebook retailers.

We’ll be looking at the Resonance Mates series tomorrow, so stay tuned!

FIVE GOLDEN RINGS… Dragon Knights

December 29, 2011 on 11:00 am | In Dragon Knights | 8 Comments

I always belt out this part of the song. Don’t you? :D

I thought it would be appropriate to talk about my longest series on this momentous day: Dragon Knights!

The series is ongoing. Frankly, I don’t ever want it to end! I know that’s unreasonable, but that’s the way I feel. I just love my dragons so much. :)

The dragons were the first books I ever had published. They were my first successful books and are very near and dear to my heart. I wrote MAIDEN FLIGHT  as a NaNoWriMo in 2005. It was my very first attempt at writing erotic romance.

I actually wrote the whole thing in 3 weeks, submitted it to Samhain Publishing in late November of ’05 and was offered a contract two weeks later in mid-December. It was a whirlwind! The book came out on Valentine’s Day of 2006 and was my first-ever fiction publication.

I thought having it come out on Valentine’s Day was super appropriate and a good omen for things to come. It’s a steamy menage and the whole world was predicated on the idea that two knights would share a single wife between them and the “family” would consist of the two knights, their dragon fighting partners and the wife to complete the circle.

The books in this series are:

1. MAIDEN FLIGHT

2. BORDER LAIR (in print, both MAIDEN FLIGHT and BORDER LAIR are in LADIES OF THE LAIR)

3. THE ICE DRAGON

4. PRINCE OF SPIES

5. Wings of Change (in print in the I DREAM OF DRAGONS anthology Volume 1)

6. FIREDRAKE

7. DRAGON STORM

8. the one I’m writing right now that doesn’t have a title yet! LOL.

Okay, first of all, I know the way the first two books were packaged for print confuses EVERYTHING!!! I know and have been lobbying to get this changed for a while. Thankfully, I can report that things are in the works to re-issue all my Dragon Knights with new covers in late 2012. The new covers will make it clearer what order they are in. I hope they will also be sexier.

I love the adventure style covers I have now, but there’s a slight disconnect that’s been pointed out to me by many readers between what’s on the cover and what’s in the pages. Many of the books have menage storylines. A lot of the love scenes are very erotic and smokin’ hot! I don’t think you get that from the covers.

I’m not sure what the solution is. I don’t really want raunchy covers for these because I think the stories are based in a very realistic fantasy world and there’s a very real plot and characters in them. But there’s also this very hot romantic element that isn’t portrayed at the moment. The current covers aren’t really helpful in how they’re numbered either. Hopefully that’s something they can fix as well. We’ll have to see how it goes.

Someone asked me recently who my favorite character of the ones I’ve written was. I didn’t have to think too long – there are a few favorites, but overall, I think my absolute fave has to be Drake of the Five Lands. He’s a golden god with a golden voice and devilish sense of humor. He’s totally hot in a bad boy way. Damn, I really like him. (Although Cade from Cat’s Cradle runs a close second! LOL)

And a little tidbit about DRAGON STORM – I was inspired to write the opening scene in that book after driving through a hellacious thunderstorm in northern New Jersey. The sky was green. I really thought at any moment we were going to be hit by lightning. Bolts were coming down all over the place and the rain was torential! As I watched, I thought – now this is the kind of storm that whirled Dorothy to the Land of Oz. ;-)

Now, I did say I was writing a new dragon book. It’s Hugh’s story. Hugh is the third-eldest of the dragon princes. He’s a dragon shapeshifter and he’s in a faraway land, undercover to get information for his older brothers, King Roland and the Prince of Spies himself, Prince Nico.

Hugh is a warrior through and through. He’s big and tough and has a soft heart for the little abandoned gryphon child that crosses his path. The baby gryphon is misborn. Gryphons are supposed to have the head of a raptor and the body of a cat. This little girl is cat all over except for her wings.

She’s absolutely adorable and Prince Hugh takes her in and protects her. Hugh is sort of a sucker for damsels in distress and he becomes responsible not only for the gryphon baby, but for a high-born lady who comes to take the child, not realizing she herself is being targeted by assassins.

It’s a fun story so far. Very hot, though not a menage. (Sorry, menage fans! Maybe the next one. ;-) ) I should be finishing it up within the next few weeks and handing it in to my editor. Not sure when it will be scheduled for release, but I’ll keep you all posted!

Now, if you’ve read this far, you deserve a chance for a treat. Comment on this post for a chance to win an ebook copy of any one of my Dragon Knights books (1 thru 7, since 8 is still being written! LOL). If you don’t have a question for me, answer this one: What kind of shapeshifters do you like best and why? You have until midnight eastern time on the 31st to enter and I’ll announce a winner in the comments of this post on New Year’s Day. Good luck!

The Fourth Series… Guardians of the Dark

December 28, 2011 on 9:00 am | In zombies | 1 Comment

And now we come to Guardians of the Dark a.k.a. my zombie series. Right now, this is the only series I’ve officially finished. (Thank goodness! At least I’ve finished something!) I call it the zombie series for short, simply because there are zombies in it – which is sort of a departure for me. I was asked to write a series with zombies in it and this is the result.

This series was full of “firsts” for me. It was the first time I was published by a “New York” publisher (Kensington Brava). It was the first time I ever wrote zombies. The first time I sold a series I was asked to write rather than one I had proposed… lots of firsts of all kinds.

I was very proud of the way this series turned out because it was a little different than what I’d been writing previously. It’s hot – not “erotic” - but very sexy. ;-) It’s got lots and LOTS of action.

I saw each of these books, sort of as a movie in my mind. I personally think they would translate really well to the big screen, but what do I know? I’m just a writer. *shrug*

The series starts in sort of an odd way, with a novella in the duology, HALF PAST DEAD. My story in that book is called Simon Says. I admit the title was kind of a lame one on my part. The hero’s name is Simon and I really couldn’t come up with much else. I figured it didn’t matter much because the book had already been named HALF PAST DEAD by the editor.

Simon Blackwell is a Green Beret who’s been sent to mop up a little zombie problem on the outskirts of an Army base. The heroine is a doctor on the base who just happens to have had a relationship with Simon a few years prior that ended badly. When they meet up again, sparks fly as he  tries to protect her from the zombie threat. Like I said, lots of adventure and sizzling romance. I always like that combination!

The second story in the series is actually the first novel length book in it, called ONCE BITTEN, TWICE DEAD. My editor had started me off with the “dead” titles – I wasn’t crazy about using that word, but she wanted it, so I went with it. I came up with this particular title because if you’re bitten by a zombie, you die, then are reanimated as a zombie and someone has to come along and kill you again. Make sense?

I decided to set this story on Long Island, where I live. They say “write what you know” and for each of these books, I set it somewhere I knew pretty well. I got the contract for these books in Spring of 2009 and started writing them right away. I wrote Simon Says in about a month during May of ’09. I wrote ONCE BITTEN during June and July of that year. In late August, my mother fell ill and was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple of months later, while I was in edits.

That time was hectic in many ways. First, my mother was really my best friend and I was running everywhere with her, staying by her side day and night. I also had a contractual obligation to write the rest of this series. I was able to let all my other writing goals fall by the wayside, but I had to write the rest of this series. I had a contract that had to be met.

I wrote the the novel, A DARKER SHADE OF DEAD, and the novella, Smoke on the Water, which was published in THE BEAST WITHIN anthology, during the time my mother was fighting for her life and just after she passed, right before Christmas in ’09. I don’t really remember what came when at that point. I don’t recall which I wrote first or how it all happened. I was so preoccupied with my mother’s declining health, I wasn’t thinking clearly much of the time and don’t care to recall those terrible days in any detail now.

But one thing I will always cherish was when I got my first round of copyedits, I sat in my mother’s room and worked on them while she rested. This publisher uses paper. We’re talking old-fashioned, pen on paper copyedits. I’d never really done that before since all my other publishing experience was with newer small presses that edit electronically. As I was sitting there, scratching away on those reams of paper, my mother said she remembered sitting with her uncle when she was a little girl, while he did the same thing.

My mother’s uncle was a very successful writer in the Netherlands, the land of her birth. My mother came here to the U.S. when she was a teenager and made her life here, but she never lost her Dutch accent or her love for the extended family her parents had left behind. I never met my great uncle, but I grew up hearing so many stories about him that I always felt like I knew him. He was a great man who went back to school in his 50′s to learn Latin and Greek. His example inspired my mother to enter law school when she was in her late 50′s as well. Who knows? Maybe when I get to that age, I’ll find myself back in school too! ;-)

But I digress… when my mother told me she’d sat as a child while her uncle scratched out his edits on paper, I thought things had come full circle. Here I was, some sixty or seventy years later, doing the things my great uncle had once done. I felt close to him at that moment. A man I’d never met, but always felt like I knew. My mother and I both teared up at the thought. She had been present at the end of his writing career and at the beginning of mine.

I only got to show her the ARCs of my first novel before she died. I’m so glad I got to do that, at least. Her death took all the excitement out of writing for me for a very long time. In fact, I’d say I’m only just starting to get back into the swing of things now, though I still have my rough patches. How I wrote the last book in the series I’ll never really know. I think the thing that helped best was that I made both hero and heroine pilots.

One of my siblings is a pilot and I got to pick his brain a lot in working on these characters, which was a great distraction from our shared grief. My editor came up with the title for this one, though I’d titled A DARKER SHADE OF DEAD and the novella Smoke on the Water, though the editor got to name the anthology THE BEAST WITHIN (which I never really thought fit my story all that well, but I wasn’t complaining). Both ADSoD and SotW are titles that I drew from songs. ADSoD is my version of “A Whiter Shade of Pale” an old song by the British band Procol Harum.

I chose Smoke on the Water as the title for my second novella in this series because the story is set mostly on a mountain lake and the zombies hide in the lake by day (they aren’t technically alive so they don’t need to breathe) and come out after dark. I put in the obligatory fog on the surface of the water and in the surrounding trees scene for the spook factor. ;-)

All in all, this series is one that I’m glad I wrote, but I’m just as glad I finished. It marked the worst time of my life, but it also kept me busy during that time – which is something I needed. If I hadn’t been obligated to write these, I would have done no writing at all during that time, so for that at the very least, I’m glad.

My mother always said “everything happens for a reason.” I think she was right.

The Third Series… Gone Country

December 27, 2011 on 9:00 am | In Contemporary | 1 Comment

On the Third Day of Christmas my true love gave to me…

Okay, confession time. Sometimes I have these great plans that seem to go awry somewhere. Such was the case with the series I call Gone Country. See, I had some good plans for other stories in this series, but right about the time I was going to really get moving on them, things started happening in my life and I didn’t get a chance to follow through.

Once upon a time, I wanted to write contemporary romance. I practically gew up on Harlequin/Silhouette and read several thousand of them on the train when I was commuting to/from Manhattan every day. All those secret baby and hidden millionaire plots… you get the idea. Some of those books are still my favorite guilty pleasures. Diana Palmer’s cowboys, Rachel Lee’s Conard County series, Linda Howard’s McKenzie series, Suzanne Brockmann’s SEALs… all those great, short books I could read in a couple of hours. LOVED ‘em! Still do. :)

Gone Country was my attempt to branch out into contemporary romance. See, I’ve always written for pleasure. Science fiction, fantasy, military heroes… you know the stuff. The first book I ever had published was the first Dragon Knights book, MAIDEN FLIGHT. Once I started down that path of erotic fantasy romance, it seemed an easy jump to erotic sci fi/futuristic romance and paranormal romance. I never realized making the leap to contemporary romance would be difficult.

Personally, I think it would have been more successful had I continued to pursue the story line I wanted to work on with this series. And someday I probably will. Reality intruded on my grand plans but I have hope that one day I’ll get back to it.

Regardless, PERFECT, the only Gone Country story available at the moment, is a great little novella. Lighthearted romance with a little naughty baking thrown in. ;) You can purchase it from ARe.

Tomorrow we’ll be talking about my foray into the world of military-experiment zombies in The Guardians of the Dark series, so stay tuned!

The Second Day… Tales of the Were

December 26, 2011 on 9:00 am | In Paranormal Tales | 10 Comments

The Second Series we’re going to look at is my Tales of the Were. Here, I must confess that pretty much all my paranormals from 2006-2009 were released in a strange order. This was because some were originally with a different publisher and when that publisher went out of business, I got the stories back and re-published them with Samhain Publishing. The result was a bit of confusion in the internal timeline of the stories because things that technically happened AFTER some already-released books were re-released later. It gives me a headache just thinking about it sometimes.

There’s also quite a bit of cross-over between all the stories I write that are set in a contemporary paranormal world. By that I mean, there are certain rules to the world and certain expectations – such as the ongoing hostilities with an evil group known as the Venifucus.

So even though there are technically only two books currently available in the Tales of the Were, there are lots of others that are related to this series. And more to come, of course! The two Tales of the Were you can get at this moment are LORDS OF THE WERE and INFERNO.

And if you’ve read either one, you know I don’t limit myself to werewolves, though the actual Lords are a set of twin Alpha werewolves. Of course, a fey warrior and a vampire get involved near the end of the book, and INFERNO picks up the action, with those two guys – Duncan and Dante. So these two particular  books are very sequential.

There are a bunch of supporting characters who show up throughout, influencing events. I plan for the next novel to follow Duncan, the fey warrior, as he helps a special kind of lone wolf/werewolf/bad boy figure out what he is. With the help of a sexy heroine, of course. ;)

The story is in its nacent stage right now, so don’t expect too much too soon. That’s the bad news. But the good news is that there will be a short story set in this world coming out near Valentine’s Day. It’s called THE PURRFECT STRANGER and it’s related to a very popular werecougar character who first showed up in the book that bridges the gap between my vamps and weres – SWEETER THAN WINE. Now, I didn’t mention SWEETER THAN WINE as being part of the Tales of the Were series, because technically it belongs to the Brotherhood of Blood. (I promise to devote a whole day to those stories during this event, so stay tuned.)

THE PURRFECT STRANGER is a story I was invited to write for a special Valentine’s Day promotion on AllRomanceEbooks.com. It’s a short story – a little shorter than I usually write, but fun all the same – centering around a failed witch and her blind date with a werecougar named Keith Redstone. It’s definitely what I would call a “light paranormal” and for those of you who keep asking me about Matt Redstone and when he’ll get his own story, yes, Keith is one of his cousins.

And on the subject of Matt… he’s a werecougar, so technically I would say his story will be part of the Tales of the Were, when I get around to writing it. However, he’s got an older brother named Grif, who is the Alpha of his Clan. I’ve already done considerable work on his story, so I believe that one will come out before I get around to Matt. Sorry, Matt fans! :)

Keep in mind that both LORDS OF THE WERE and INFERNO are both available in print. You can probably order them from any bookstore if they don’t have them in stock. For ebook fans, here are some links:

INFERNO:  Samhain, Amazon, Barnes & Noble

On the First Day of Christmas… Arcana

December 25, 2011 on 6:00 am | In Jit'Suku Chronicles, SF/Futuristic | 14 Comments

First of all… Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that fun stuff. Today starts the traditional 12 Days, so we’ll start with the series that has my newest releases: Arcana.

The Arcana series only has two novellas in it so far, but I have plans for so much more! Arcana is part of The Jit’Suku Chronicles, which I see as a multi-generational saga that spans two galaxies and hundreds of years of intergalactic war.

Arcana starts at the beginning of the Chronicles, with the very first experiments in genetic Enhancement. A lot of this story is based on the idea that certain special soldiers and operatives among the human military forces have volunteered for Enhancement. Tinkering with their DNA leaves them forever changed. They end up with sharper senses, faster reflexes and even more dangerously honed warrior skills. They also are led to believe that the changes to their DNA have rendered them unable to reproduce. I don’t think it’s too much of a spoiler to tell you that’s a giant “WRONG!” ;)

The first two Arcana stories are KING OF SWORDS and KING OF CUPS. Both were recently released in ebook formats. As you might guess from the titles, the series draws its name from the Minor Arcana of the Tarot deck. There are four suits of the tarot – swords, cups, pentacles and staves. I intend to eventually have four novellas – one for the King of each suit. If those work out well, I might write four Queens and then maybe four Jacks, etc. The possibilities for expansion are very exciting!

So you’re probably wondering how this all came about. A few authors invited me to join them in an anthology project a few years ago. The only catch was that the story had to have something to do with fortune telling. I was heavily involved with the worlds of the Chronicles at the time this opportunity came to me. I’d been wanting to go backward from where I was and write the “prequel” as it were, to the whole thing. But how to get fortune telling into it? I thought about it for a while and came up with the setting – a bar on a space station – and the idea that there was a hot poker game going on most of the time. A card game needs a dealer, right? And so was born the heroine of KING OF SWORDS, Della - a lady with a lot of experience with cards of all kinds.

I’ve got a large portion of the later Chronicles written already, but not quite ready for publication. The world is fleshed out in great detail and this group of stories is very near and dear to my heart. I hope to get the rest of the Kings finished and released in 2012, then see where we go from there.

I should mention that two of the later Chronicles stories are already out – the Sons of AmberEZEKIEL and MICHAEL – which take place about a century after the events in Arcana. I know this might be confusing to some readers, which is why I really want to flesh out the first part of the timeline before I release any more of the later stories. At least that’s what I’m thinking at the moment. It might possibly change in the future, so don’t hold me to it… but right now, it seems the right thing to do.

Before I forget, here are some links if you want to buy either of the Arcana stories… Links to KING OF SWORDS on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords. Links to KING OF CUPS on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords.

One important thing to note is that even though there is an internal chronology to the stories, it’s not the kind of series where you absolutely MUST read one book in order to understand what’s going on in the next. The ongoing war sort of ties everything together, but each story is an independent vignette with its own characters and situations.

If you’ve read this far, you deserve a little fun, so I’ll give a copy of KING OF SWORDS to one lucky commenter on this post. If you don’t have a question for me to add to the comments, please answer mine: Do you enjoy sci fi romance and if so, what draws you to it?

(In order to win, you have to check the comments on this post, since I don’t think I’ll have everyone’s edresses. I’ll pick a winner at random and announce it in the comments. Deadline to enter this giveaway is midnight eastern time on the 28th.)

The 12 Days of Christmas

December 24, 2011 on 6:00 am | In Holidays | 2 Comments

Before I launch into my “12 Series” I wanted to go into a bit of what I’ve learned about the “real” 12 Days of Christmas. I always sang the song as a kid, but never really knew when the 12 Days began or ended. It’s just not something we do over here in America. And what the heck is “Boxing Day”? Is that the day you go and duke it out with your annoying neighbors? LOL

So I did a little research and found out that the 12 Days traditionally START on Christmas Day and end right before the Epiphany on January 6th. The festive season doesn’t END with Christmas the way most Americans think, but really only begin there and go on until the first week in January.

That’s very different from what we’ve been led to believe by the media and merchandisers. We tend to celebrate right up to Christmas Eve, take Christmas as a day off when nothing is open, then jump back into work with a huge let-down on the 26th. It’s a little different if you’re a parent or work with kids because at least when you’re a kid, you usually get the period between Christmas and New Years off from school.

But as adults, we don’t even get time off, most of the time. No, we have to go to work during that week. I’ll admit that not much gets done and a lot of people with kids take vacation at that time to hang out and do family stuff, but it’s still not really as festive as the time leading up to Christmas. I mean, we don’t have “Christmas” parties AFTER the fact, right? We take the week between as a sort of lull between the big party for New Year’s Eve.

Once again though, right after New Year’s Day – a day spent home recovering from a hangover and staying up late the night before to ring in the New Year – we usually have to go right back to work, or school. The Epiphany is really only relevant if you’re religious or go to some kind of religious school (as I did).

I don’t mean to leave out my neighbors of other faiths, but Hannukah falls on different days each year, as do many of the other major holidays during this period. Christmas is the one that is always on the 25th and it’s also the one most of American society seems to be gearing up for – whether it’s the mall Santas everywhere encouraging us to spend more than we have, or the annoying music blaring out of store speakers, radio and TV, almost from the moment the Thanksgiving Day Parade is over.

I know this is probably a uniquely American experience, but perhaps it’s interesting to those in other countries as well. Christmas has become such a big money-maker, we’ve almost totally lost sight of what it once was and how our ancestors in other countries once celebrated it. We sing the song of the 12 Days of Christmas, but few of us know much about it other than what gifts go on what days. A lot of people in the U.S. think it’s the 12 Days leading up to December 25th rather than the 12 days beginning on that date.

So I’m going to go with the old tradtion and start on Christmas, then continue my exploration of my 12 Series until January 6th. Hope you enjoy it! :)

The Plans are Officially Hatched!

Remember how I said I was hatching plans for some fun stuff on this blog over the holidays? Well, I think I’ve got it figured out now and am ready to unveil my plans. So without further ado…

Introducing…

Ta-da!!! :D

I know it’s rather self-serving, but heck, it’s my blog and I’ll write what I want to, right? So to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, I plan to review the series I’ve written and go into detail about the “order” of the books (which I know a lot of you are very interested in) and what my plans are for the future. So you’ll get a little peek into my thoughts and hopes for each of my series and where I intend them to go at this point in my career.

Actually, it would be interesting to look back at this next year and see if/how things have changed and the directions I’ve gone in with these various series. I might even make this a yearly adventure – a way of touching base with what I’m doing in my different worlds. I’m not sure, but right now it sounds like a really good idea.

So here’s the plan:

Each day of the traditional 12 Days of Christmas, which starts on December 25th (rather than ends on it, as many Americans believe) and continues to January 6th, I’ll talk about one of my series. You can ask questions in the comments, if you like. I will, of course, try to address the most common questions in the initial post, but if I miss anything, ask away!

I’ll also talk about what I plan to do in the future with the series, if it’s still ongoing. And I might even give you a few peeks at future books in the series. Oh – and I just might do a few giveaways during the 12 days, just to keep it interesting. ;-)
