Going to RAW
September 23, 2011 on 8:08 pm | In Appearances | 2 CommentsIt’s been an odd sort of day. I woke up to find that not only had the neighbor’s son been made captain of the high school football team and his team had TP’d their house, but that Albacon had been cancelled. Luckily, I’d already decided to attend Lora Leigh’s Reader Appreciation Weekend this October, which is the weekend after Albacon would have been.
It’s being held at a spa. I didn’t know that when I’d decided earlier this year NOT to go. I thought it was still being held in Kentucky or West Virginia – which was great, but a little too long a trip for me, coming from Long Island. I realized (very belatedly) last week that the spa is in Maryland. That’s like a hop, skip and a jump from me.
And okay, the spa is also a golf resort, so I think my Dad will enjoy it too. I can’t really leave him home alone. Not that he needs supervision or anything, but it would just be really mean to leave the poor guy all alone when he can come people-watch with me. He likes that sort of thing, being a rather quiet guy. (He’s a retired scientist who worked on the space program, among other things.) He likes being around young people and having a place to go where he can interact with new people. And everyone seems to think he’s really cute. So yes, he’s coming with me.
I was going to take a pic of the TP on the neighbor’s house, but it rained today and the toilet paper disintegrated all over the roof, the trees, in the bushes and on the front lawn. Eew!

Space: Mission to the Moon
September 10, 2011 on 10:05 am | In Space | 3 CommentsMost of you know I’m interested in the doings at NASA. This morning we got to see a great launch of a new moon mission that will map the gravity of the moon. Cool huh? You can read more about the mission on the NASA site.
The two GRAIL spacecraft will reach the moon on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and then the real fun will begin, I’m sure. I’m looking forward to hear what the discover!
(And of course if they manage to contact the secret alien base inside the moon.) LMAO!

Cover for Hidden Talent
September 9, 2011 on 6:00 am | In Books, Covers, SF/Futuristic | No CommentsWith all this talk of covers, I just realized I hadn’t posted the cover for my next release from Samhain Publishing, HIDDEN TALENT. Check it out:

Here’s the blurb:
Love—and passion—really do conquer all.
StarLords, Book 1
While on an undercover mission to gather intelligence on the neighboring collective, Micah receives the shock of his life. A shy, reclusive horse tamer who possesses a level of raw psi Talent that nearly matches his own. Along with her pure, wild Talent, her beautiful spirit and innocence rouse him to take her on a voyage of discovery to the stars…and the limits of her own, untapped passion.
All her life, Jeri has hidden her Talent, enduring the stigma of being “odd”. Once aboard the Circe, Micah and his cousin Darak, a rogue of the first order, guide her through a world where those with Talents are revered, not hunted. Where pleasure hones and strengthens psi power to undreamed-of heights. Where love is a real possibility, not a distant dream.
When a defenseless planet is besieged by the collective’s armada, the Circe races to the rescue—only to discover a missing piece of Jeri’s past on the wrong side of the battle. And that combining her formidable new powers with Micah’s may win the day, but cost her everything…
This full length novel will be released in ebook formats on October 25th. Mark the date!

New Cover Unveiling Soon!
September 4, 2011 on 4:36 pm | In Covers, News, SF/Futuristic | No CommentsNext week, once we all recover from stuffing our faces with barbeque after the U.S. celebrates the unofficial end of Summer holiday called Labor Day, I’ll be unveiling a new cover, right here on the blog. It’s the cover for my upcoming November release, KING OF SWORDS.
The book was originally published in an anthology called FORTUNE’S FOOL that not too many people were able to find, I’m sorry to say. This time it’ll be available as a single title in most ebook formats. It’ll also be followed up in December by the never-before-published sequel, KING OF CUPS.
Stay tuned to this blog. I’ll be unveiling the new cover design next week! Just have to say… it’s awesome!
