I’ve been moving furniture all around the past few days, reorganizing my house. Thank goodness, this crime didn’t happen in my house…

The Best Laid Plans…

Huge mea culpa here. I still haven’t announced the winner of the contest in my last post. So sorry! I had everything ready to go and then not only did I get hit with edits that had to be turned around faster than usual, but my Dad ended up in the Emergency Room. He was admitted to the hospital and stayed there for 4 days. He’s home now, but on a boatload of meds for various things from diabetes (he’s borderline) to cholesterol, to blood thinners. Apparently, something funky is going on with his heart and they’re only just discovering it. So there are going to be a lot of doctor visits in our future for tests and to get the medication levels right. *sigh*

But I guess I shouldn’t complain. The guy is going to be 86 in a few weeks and doesn’t look (or act) a day over 70. He’s so active, I have to chase him down half the time to tell him to take it easy. And he doesn’t listen. Nothing wrong with his hearing. He just thinks he’s still 18 and can do everything. To be honest, he CAN do most stuff, but he really shouldn’t. Not with the erratic heart rhythms. But he has to hear it from a doctor before he’ll listen. *sigh squared*

Anyway… hopefully without further drama… I will now announce the winner of the advance copy of DEAD ALERT.
