ONCE BITTEN, TWICE DEAD Reviews
January 27, 2010 on 6:00 am | In Paranormal Tales, zombies | No Comments
Got a very nice 4 Star review from RT for my upcoming debut zombie novel, ONCE BITTEN, TWICE DEAD. Here’s what they said:
“D’Arc introduces a world filled with gory zombies, evil, greedy scientists and the military forces trying to combat them. Within her landscape we meet two strong characters who, in fighting the enemy, find a connection and love with each other. D’Arc deftly blends horror, romance and action for a thrilling, sexy tale.” – Melanie E. Bates
Woo hoo!
And none other than Harriet Klausner had this to say about the book: “This is a fun zombie romance in which the love subplot is shockingly between two humans. The story line is fast-paced and filled with plenty of zombie action…readers will enjoy the cop and the soldier battle the paranormal, the brass (his and hers) and love in Bianca D’Arc’s exciting supernatural military romance.”
Thanks to both ladies for such very nice reviews!

January 21, 2010 on 6:00 am | In Video | No CommentsI got this from Barbara Vey’s blog and just had to repost it. Damn. If I were LLM, I’d definitely want to be at that photo shoot! I don’t really read Westerns anymore but I might just have to get these three based on the covers alone! Hubba hubba.

Entwined by Fate by S. A. Price
January 19, 2010 on 6:00 am | In Guests | No Comments
S.A. Price is really two people – Stella and Audra Price. As many of you know, Stella is a good friend of mine, living just an hour or two away from me in upstate New York. We do a lot of signings together and tend to get up to mischief when we’re at conferences together.
They have a new book out today featuring an altogether new race of shapeshifters… weresnakes. Check it out!
Thirty females of the Ophidian race have gone missing, most from the transient nest of Las Vegas, a rogue and unofficial nest run by the Saint, John Merrick. Believed to be dead by every Archon in the states, Merrick leads a quiet and unassuming life, saving those of his race that are lost and need it most. It’s a solitary existence, one that he hates every day. He yearns for his mate, the woman he left over a decade before, and the woman who thinks him dead to this day.
When Elise Rizdon got the official invitation to the Archon meeting in Ohio by the leader of a new Midwestern nest, she never expected to see the love of her life at the woman’s side, a man she was told was dead and buried. She lost him once upon a time, and she never fully recovered. Focusing on the issues, and not the man that has always made her body burn is not going to be easy. A disturbing event is on the horizon, one that threatens all Ophidian’s and their way of life. In order to survive they will have to work together, give up old grudges and take chances on the things that matter most. Love, life and the continuation of their race.
“S.A. Price has written a winner! The taut plot line and the constant danger lurking at every corner increase the tension as the reader anxiously turns the pages. S.A. Price does a marvelous job at integrating subplots and smoothly fitting all of the pieces together. The secondary romances developing within the plot line make the happily-ever-after all the more satisfying. Brilliant!” ~Recommended Read, Ck2s Kwips and Kritiques
“Move over werewolf’s there’s a new game in town!” ~ Smokin Hot Books
“It kept me captivated …I just had to know what was going to happen next!” ~Books, Books and More Books
“A sexy were species that really pushes the envelope! Who knew snakes could be so hot-blooded!?” ~Jennifer Armintrout, best selling author of the Blood Ties series
Interested? Check out why this book is getting such amazing feedback, and help Stella and Audra (S. A. Price) prove that weresnakes are sssexy and that scales could definitely be the new fur for you shifter readers!

January 16, 2010 on 6:00 am | In Contests, New Releases, Paranormal Tales | 9 CommentsTrying something new on The D’Arc Side… Stella Price had this cool idea to post a little contest each Saturday. I loved the idea and decided to play along.
The contest goes like this: I post part of a love scene from one of my books and you tell me what sort of music or a particular song that you think would best fit the scene. I’ll pick the answer I think is closest and post the winner on Monday. The winner gets a free PDF download of the book. Sound good? All right, let the reading and music musing commence!
Here’s a little snippet from my latest release – CAT’S CRADLE – which just came out in ebook formats from Samhain last Tuesday. Enjoy!
Gina awoke to kisses. A hot mouth trailed wet, licking kisses down her arm and while the tongue was a little rough, it was way too big to be her cat’s.
“Cade?” Her sleepy voice was rough to her own ears.
“You’re safe, Ellie,” he whispered into her ear, his mouth trailing over her neck and onto her other arm.
Safe? She wasn’t so sure. “Uh… did Gina and your friend get out of town okay?” Elaine rose up on one elbow blinking awake, then pushed herself up to a sitting position.
Cade gave her only a little room as he sat on the edge of the bed, looking at her with those almost reflective silvery blue eyes. They disconcerted her. They distracted her. They turned her on.
“The Escort met them just outside of town. They should be okay.” Cade trailed the fingers of one hand down her arm, raising goose flesh.
“Stop that.” Elaine moved away, but he stalked her, not letting her put space between them.
“Stop what?” He moved closer.
“You know what you’re doing. Knock it off.” Her voice was a breathless whisper as he closed in on her.
She scooted backward against the headboard, unable to move farther away. Cade prowled forward, hovering over her, his breath warming her cheek as he lowered his head.
“Just give me one kiss, sweetheart. I want to taste you.”
Something rippled to life within her as he came closer. His hair draped forward a tad, framing both their faces in darkness as his lips grazed over hers.
She was a goner at the first brush of his lips. She succumbed with a gasp of pure desire. He took full advantage of the small opening. His talented tongue dipped into her mouth, drawing out her response, making her surrender her pleasure. She’d never felt anything like it. He commanded and coaxed in equal measure and beyond the startling sensations coursing through her body, she couldn’t focus on anything else.
When Cade lowered her to a reclining position beneath him on the soft mattress, she went willingly. His arms boxed her in, but she reveled in his possession. The soft ends of his hair trailed over her cheeks adding their own caress to the harsh male demand of his body over hers.
If you can’t wait and want to read more right now(!), you can purchase the book from Samhain Publishing HERE.

CAT’S CRADLE is a new paranormal big cat shifter tale that starts a new trilogy I’m calling the String of Fate series… Here are the details:
Most lovers kiss. This one pounces.
String of Fate, Book 1
As bad days go, this one qualifies as one for the books. Elaine knew being late for her jiu jitsu class could earn her a reprimand from her sensei. But the sensei’s not there. And suddenly, neither is her car. Even walking home becomes problematic when she stumbles onto things that most definitely do go bump in the night. One of whom is too handsome for his own good—and too sexy for hers.
An Alpha Pantera Noir—black panther shifter—Cade operates on his immense skill, superior strength, and dominant personality. There’s something about this small spitfire of a human woman that threatens to bring him to his knees. She blundered into the middle of his mission to transport his queen to safety, and now it’s his responsibility to keep Elaine safe as well. Except no matter what he does, danger finds her at every turn.
Thrust into a world where the supernatural is commonplace, Elaine finds her considerable martial arts skill tested to the limit—and her ability to resist Cade crumbling by the second. But when nothing is as it seems, the last things she can trust are her own instincts…
